The OCE participates to a conference on climate change education in Slovenia

As part of the international conference "School for climate action in the Alps," which will be held on September 28th and 29th, 2023, in Bohinj, Slovenia, David Wilgenbus, executive director of the Office for Climate Education (OCE)  will discuss about the development of climate change education in the Alpine countries.

The presentation titled "Whole school approach developed in France," aims to trace the history and evolution of climate change education (CCE) development in France. David Wilgenbus will notably present national sustainable development policies, the multi-level approach to its development (local, national, and international), as well as the process and 3ED certification (Establishments in Sustainable Development Approach). David Wilgenbus will also outline the role of the OCE in advancing CCE at both national and international levels, highlighting its main missions which include professional development, the production of scientific and educational resources on climate change, and the development of  operational projects.

Other speakers from public institutions and civil society organizations in Slovenia, Austria, Germany, Italy, Liechtenstein, and Monaco will be invited to discuss the evolution of climate change education in their respective countries around round tables and conferences. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in outdoor activities aimed at raising awareness about climate change education.
