Education for Climate Day
As part of preparation for CO28, the European Commission and the Coalition for Climate Education are organizing an online event entitled “Education for Climate Day 2023”, scheduled on November, 15.
This webinar is aimed at an audience composed of political makers, international organizations, teachers and other stakeholders linked to the educational world. The event will include six thematic sessions covering various aspects such as green skills development, policies and research on climate change education (CCE), EU initiatives to promote CCE and even recommendations from young people on sustainability.
Nicolas Vogt, in his capacity as educational manager of the OCE, is invited to present the OCE initiatives deployed during COP28, particularly highlighting the TeachersCOP, a hybrid event planned on live from Dubai on December, 10.
The TeachersCOP is an international initiative created by the OCE to highlight to global politicians and decision-makers the work of teachers, the challenges they face and the key role they play in the global climate response. During the Teachers COP, hundreds of teachers from around the world will connect simultaneously to talk about climate change education with simultaneous translation into French, English, Spanish and Arabic.
