Abu Dhabi : The OCE participate in the World Environmental Education Congress (WEEC) 

On January 29th, the Office for Climate Education (OCE) will take part in the 12th edition of the World Environmental Education Congress (WEEC) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This event will bring together representatives from over 100 countries to exchange knowledge on climate change education (CCE) and sustainable development. Participants will include teachers, government officials, international organization representatives, political figures, journalists, businesses, and NGOs.

As part of this event, David Wilgenbus, OCE’s Executive Director, will lead a conference entitled "Climate Change Education in Latin America: the ALEC Project, a Large-Scale Initiative for Primary and Secondary Schools." The objective of this presentation is to showcase the actions of the OCE, with a specific focus on its ALEC (Latin America for Climate Education) pilot project. Launched in 2020 for a period of 5 years, this climate change education initiative is currently active in Mexico and Colombia, with aspirations to expand its influence throughout the entire Latin American region.
