Malaysia: 4-day Climate Change Education Workshops

For the second consecutive year, a 4-day training week on Climate Change Education will be held in Malaysia from November 18th to November 21st, 2024.

This event is co-organized by GGAF (Green Growth Asia Foundation), ISTIC (International Science, Technology & Innovation Centre) and the OCE (Office for Climate Education)

Eighty teachers are expected to participate, including 60 local Malaysian teachers and 20 additional educators from neighboring countries.

Over these 4-days, Adeline Aroskay, Science Officer, and Nicolas Vogt, Education Officer from the OCE, will lead workshops covering key climate topics such as the greenhouse effect, ocean impacts, extreme weather events, climate justice, or eco-anxiety. All sessions will apply OCE's active pedagogy approach.

Participants will explore different methods to integrate climate change education into their classroom, including role-playing games, multimedia animations, board games, COP simulations created by the OCE.
