Monaco Ocean Week: A Key Event for Ocean Protection

From March 21 to 26, 2024, Monaco will host Ocean Week, an international event bringing together scientists, NGO members, and representatives from public institutions. This week will highlight concrete actions for ocean protection and environmental awareness.

International Experts United for a Common Cause

The event will feature numerous local and international experts sharing their knowledge on current challenges regarding ocean health. Among the speakers, David Wilgenbus, Executive Director, will speak on March 23 alongside partners from the MERI Foundation to address the theme "Innovation Technologies for Community Environmental Awareness Rising." This discussion will focus on the need for high-quality climate change education in schools, providing teachers with free educational resources based on the latest data from the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change).

A Platform for Technological Innovation

The development of innovative technologies to increase environmental awareness in communities will be one of the central themes of this edition. These solutions will enable a better understanding of climate change impacts and the actions needed to preserve marine ecosystems.
