Bulgaria: 3-day training for teachers
From October 18th to 20th, a 3-day training workshop on Climate Change Education will be held in Sofia. This event is co-organized by Teach For Bulgaria and the Office for Climate Education.
Teach For Bulgaria is a foundation that aims to provide equal access to quality education for every child in Bulgaria by training teachers, supporting schools, and building partnerships in order to introduce best practices into the education system.
During these three days, Nicolas Vogt, OCE’s Education Officer, will lead several workshops on climate change, covering topics such as the greenhouse effect, oceans, critical thinking, and biodiversity through various activities like role-playing games, discussions, while offering scientific insights throughout.
This training is part of a partnership between Teach For Bulgaria and the Office For Climate Education aimed at enhancing climate change education practices in the Bulgarian education system.
As part of this collaboration, Teach for Bulgaria is also expected to translate the teacher’s guidebook “The Climate in Our Hands : Climate Change and Land” in Bulgarian.
